Dry Van Freight Transportation. Done Right.

Paragon Freight moves dry van freight across the Midwest and nationwide. We run dedicated lanes, maintain modern equipment, and deliver on schedule — consistently.

WHY PARAGON

Capacity You Can Count On, Lanes You Can Plan Around

90% of our freight moves on direct shipper relationships — not load boards, not spot markets. We assign experienced drivers to dedicated lanes and build our capacity around your volume. That means coverage stays consistent through peak seasons, driver turnover doesn't disrupt your network, and the person who answers your call already knows your freight.

More About Us
Services

Dedicated Lanes

We build driver assignments around committed freight. Your loads get planned coverage, not last-minute scrambles from a dispatch board.

Direct Communication

Your point of contact knows your lanes and your requirements. No call centers, no ticket queues. Direct phone, direct answers, proactive updates when conditions change.

Consistent Execution

We track on-time pickup and delivery internally and hold our operations team accountable through structured weekly reviews. When issues come up, you hear from us first.

OUR NETWORK

Where We Run.

Paragon's network is built around committed lanes, not spot freight. Paragon operates a nationwide dry van network anchored in the Chicago area, with dense coverage across the Midwest, Southeast, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Texas corridors.

Midwest Hub

Local Chicago and regional Midwest coverage with capacity into Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, Indiana, and eastern Nebraska. High-frequency service with consistent turnaround and strong return-lane coverage back to the Chicago hub.

Central Corridor

Capacity through southwest Missouri, southeast Kansas, and the broader central corridor, with established return lanes into the Kansas City region and Nebraska. Dedicated service into the Denver market, where Paragon maintains a strong outbound presence and competitive positioning on inbound freight.

Southeast

Consistent freight coverage into Georgia and the Carolinas, with reliable backhaul into the Midwest. Round-trip capacity into Savannah, GA integrates with our Southeast network, giving shippers dependable two-way service.

East Coast

Premium corridor service into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, with established return lanes back to the Midwest and central corridor. East Coast and Northeast inbound freight is priced competitively and moves on consistent schedules.

Texas

Dedicated lanes into and out of Texas with consistent coverage across the state's major freight markets.

Our Fleet

Modern Equipment, Maintained to Standard.

Our fleet runs primarily Freightliner Cascadias, International LTs, and Volvo VNLs — all late-model, GPS-tracked, and maintained on a preventive schedule. Our 53-foot dry van trailers are inspected and turned between loads. We don't run aging equipment and we don't defer maintenance.

Real-Time Visibility

Full shipment tracking through Project44 and FourKites integration, compatible with most major TMS platforms. We support EDI and API data flows so your freight team gets real-time status without extra overhead. Fleet-wide GPS tracking and in-cab camera systems powered by Samsara provide complete operational visibility from pickup to delivery.

DOT Compliance

Our fleet meets or exceeds current DOT and FMCSA standards. Every unit is maintained on a preventative schedule with fleet-wide telematics monitoring through Samsara. Equipment condition is a direct reflection of operational discipline — and we treat it that way.

WHO WE SERVE

Built for Complex Supply Chains.

Paragon hauls freight for companies across multiple industries — from raw materials to finished consumer products. Different industries mean different requirements: appointment scheduling, lumper coordination, driver compliance protocols, documentation standards. Our operations team handles that complexity daily.

Consumer packaged goods and food-grade dry commodities · Building materials and industrial components · Pet food and animal nutrition · Automotive parts and assemblies · Paper, packaging, and corrugated products · Retail distribution and e-commerce fulfillment

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

Paragon is a dry van carrier specializing in 53-foot full truckload service. We move a wide mix of non-temperature-controlled freight — consumer goods, packaged products, building materials, automotive parts, and general commodities — across the Midwest, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and East Coast.

Our fleet is based in the greater Chicago area and runs dedicated lanes throughout the Midwest, Southeast, East Coast, and Mid-Atlantic. High-volume corridors include the greater Omaha area, Indianapolis, Ohio, the Kansas City region, the Joplin / Four States area, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Green Bay, Savannah, San Antonio, and the Delaware Valley. We actively seek inbound freight into Chicago, the Upper Peninsula, Green Bay, and Nebraska, and run Mid-Atlantic and East Coast backhauls into the Kansas City area and Chicago.

Yes. Every truck in our fleet is GPS-tracked and ELD-equipped, and we provide real-time shipment visibility through both Project44 and FourKites. We also support EDI and API integrations with most major transportation management systems, so our customers get the data flow they need without extra overhead.

Because roughly 90% of our freight comes from direct shipper relationships rather than the load boards, our capacity is committed and predictable. We build driver plans around our customers’ volume forecasts and, where it makes sense to prove service on a new lane, we’ll invest competitively up front — then price the lane appropriately once we’ve earned the business. That approach keeps rates honest, protects sustainable margin on both sides, and delivers reliable coverage through peak periods.

We operate a modern fleet of 53-foot dry van trailers pulled by late-model tractors — primarily Freightliner Cascadias, International LTs, and Volvo VNLs. Every unit is ELD-equipped, GPS-tracked, and maintained on a preventive maintenance schedule to keep on-time performance high and dwell time low.
